Thanks for the write-up. Wish I'd had this before attempting it in the parts store parking lot!

Has anyone found a good LED conversion kit for a GS400 equipped with HIDs?

Are you looking to go from HID headlights to LED? That would honestly be a downgrade as LED conversion kits produce less light than a HID bulb or kit.

Thanks to your comparison shots, I've realized this. The car is 100% stock so there's no reason to go LED other than the "cool factor". The electrical system isn't being bogged down by a big stereo or an air bag suspension (compressor).

Thanks again!

LED can output more than HID. You can get a cleaner light and color temp and it would be easier to match other LEDs to it.
The problems are the beam pattern and going from a proprietary harness to LED. I also have not seen any kits that have LEDs that fit OEM HID bulb sockets.

I want to do this, so I would want to get a set of halogen housings and either only tap off the power or use a relay.

What does the bulb look like? I am afraid to pull the bulb out until I get the condensation issue fixed. I am told the moisture it the reason the light burned out. Thank you for any tips/advice. I just bought this 2005 rx330 and didn't think the light issue would be so complicated..

Default Replacing Drivers Side Low Beam HID Bulb

Outstanding tutorial on how to replace the factory HID Bulb. Can anyone provide any recommendations on how to access the driver's side low beam bulb?
