too all fenders and tire fitment gods hah
well i got someone who might want to buy my g35 wheels. i wasnt looking to sell them b/c well they are what i wanted! but if he offers me the right price im gona accept and pick up the Work Varianza T1S from a fellow CL member in the forums.
here are his specs
18x9.5+33 fr with 3.5" lip
18x10+22 rr with 4.5" lip
i really like these specs so what kinda tires you guys recommand and fender modding you guys think would work. i think i can get away with a shave in the rear and maybe a roll in the front. But if i dont have to roll in the front im not going to. And as for tires i want something like a 225/40 in the front and maybe a 255/35 in the rear or 265/35. so whats the deal???
any opinions from you GS gods??/ lol

I went 275 on the rear wheels and my wheels are only 9.5 wide... that's an aggressive offset, you'll definitely have to do something to the rear fenders but I'm not sure about the front... i'd figure most likely though.

You are going to have a more stretched tire in front than the rear.
That is not a set up I would go with. Not to mention, those sizes are going to be tiny in diameter for the GS, that's smaller than oem. You will need the most stretch in the rear and you will also have to shave the fenders. For the front, a nicely stretched tire might be enough to clear the fender without having to roll it, bending the tabs that hold the lining back might be enough.

You can make wide, low offset wheels fit, but it will take some work. Just look at all the space you have left with the Rays wheels you have and compare to the space needed to make the Scaras fit. Add the space you will have once shaved, stretched, rolled, pulled, etc... Then you can see for your self if your choice of wheels will work. Simple math and messuring, that's all.

good tires sizes
Hey,
I was lookin up those tires sizes, and those are pretty close to factory sizes of a 235/45-17 Gs. Which was a good pick. However, I believe the front tires will look a little stretched. Meaning, when you mount a small tire on a fat wheel(9.5") it may cause it to stretch the sidewalls. It looks good if you want that "Vip Look". But for performance, hard driving, and curb rashes you should get ready for some damage.
I found this link to be helpful for tire sizes and comparisons:
http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCal...?action=submit
As for the wheels: Imo, It depends how low are you going? You got springs, coilovers, or air ride? Do you want a moderate drop or are you want the wheels to tuck?
Also, just because you not gonna tuck your wheels it doesnt mean you can put crazy deep dish wheels all around. What if you have 4 ppl in the GS and fill up the trunk. You don't want munch all your fenders.
The front offsets look good @ 33. For the rear wheels @ 22mm offset, I am not sure they will clear if you dump your car. I've only seen 22 offset on bmws.
btw, my personal set up is pretty conservative.
I have 20x8.5 (40mm) fronts, 20x10 (40mm) rears.
tires sizes; 225/35-20 front, 275/30-20 rear
My right rear rubbed like hell, until I rolled the fender.
I have Tein S-tech 1.8" front 1.7" rear
(my future plans: UAS/kyb suspension and a smaller tire on the rear)
GL.. I hope some of this info was helpful....

jeez, 225 on a 9.5 and 245 on a 10.5 is a pretty good stretch, i think being as low as you are with any kind of 9"+ wide wheel with even a mildly aggressive offset is going to require some fender mod regardless.

my current set up is
19 x 8 + 30 225-35-19
19 x 8.5 +33 255-40-19
droped on megan coilovers without modified fenders. Then front is not tucked i got one finger gap underneath it And the rear is tucked a tad bit i barely have finger gap back there. more like the top of my finger! i really dont know how low i went but its ok for DD.
if i go with the JPs i suppose 245/35 and the rear a 275/30 or 35 maybe i duno? lol but i would def shave ALL my fenders! I dont want to go tucked, i want want to go slamed i just want to keep my current height with what i have!
and the only reason i was considering selling b.c he offered wanted them, hes local, and i see some peoples on various boards are selling balla wheels at a good price. And another thing i dont know how well the scaras can hold up to DD i heard the lips damage really easily
any opinion or any of the info i just provided in regards to the JP.s specs and fender modding?
you have the vs-xx lol?

[QUOTE=GS FONZy;3910063]Not much smaller than oem, correct, but add the fact that it will be stretched therefore the sidewall will now be at an angle, making the overall diameter even smaller not to mention oem 17s look small IMO, 16s oem are a little bigger.
That is true, when u stretch the tire it does get smaller in diam.
He can go 225/45-18... to alleviate that.
I have 17's GS chromes as winter, imo it does'nt look too small. But, I use 245/45-17 to help fill the fender well.
Lemme explain to you what I meant about munching fenders.
Most ppl, want the low offset wheels to create that aggressive and deep dish look. However, there's usually problems when you get too aggressive on the lower offsets.
