Modifying ebay Halo Headlights with TSX Projectors!
Hi guys,
The headlights on my Aristo have gone yellow and look ugly. I have cleaned them up and polished them and they look better but still not as good as I would like.
I have been thinking of doing a TSX projector retrofit for a while, so was wondering if ANYONE had retrofitted the TSX (or other quality projectors) into the ebay projector headlights?
That way I get new headlights for much much less then the OEM part and I have quality projectors.
Thanks for any advice.

Don't listen to what louie is saying.
You should be able to retrofit the projectors in there but they may look small. You would also need to make sure that you can center them. Another problem you may run into is when you are removing the projector in the headlights. I am not sure how it is mounted in the headlight. If there is no reflector bowl you will need to figure out how you are going to mount the TSX projectors in to the headlight. What i would do is wetsand your headlights you have now and retrofit your headlights.

+1 for the output of ls430 or the unique look of the q45...but maybe you can put 2 tsx projectors in one headlight for a total of 4 mid-boggling HID output
I say just do it to your oem headlights...no point getting ebay stuff and the retrofitting it

Thanks guys!
I will try wet sanding as suggested.
It does sound like retrofitting into the ebay headlights is going to be a major hassle. My reasoning for wanting to use them was because my car wouldn't then be off the road while I worked on the headlights.
What I really need is a spare temporary set of lights to keep me going while I am doing the retrofit.
Additionally, the reason I am thinking of using the TSX projectors is that according to the HID Planet forum, the TSX/Honda projectors are only just behind the light output of the Lexus LS430 projectors but they are much cheaper to buy. The Q45 projectors look great but the light output is not the best.

TSX projectors are almost around the same ball park as LS430's in terms of cost. Most people use TSX because the projectors are considerably smaller. Most headlights do not have enough room for LS430 projectors.

All you need is another set of reflector bowls. All the work goes into getting the projector onto the reflector bowl. Besides, unless you work every weekend, you can take one weekend to do the retrofit. The retrofit itself and taking the headlights off the car are probably the hardest parts.
