car parked for 6 months... what to do?
i posted this elsewhere on this board but didn't get a solid response. i'm currently out of town and my internet access is limited so i haven't had the time to search.
back in january i had to drop everything and fly out of town to deal with a family emergency, among other things. i don't anticipate going back home until late june.
before i left i didn't have a chance to properly store my car, such as find covred parking or add fuel stabilizer to the gas tank. it's been parked outside where i live since january untouched. it was buried in snow the day i left, and it had only a half tank of gas and i was overdue for me 130k km service at the time. i'm not expecting too see anything good when i get back home
aside from the obviously dead battery, i would like to know what the proper restart procedure i should follow when i get back home.
so far i've been told not to drain the tank, but to put in a gas additive that will absorb all the condensation that would have accumulated inside, as well as a gas treatment. finally, fill the tank up with as much fresh gas as possible and drive until empty, then refill with a fuel cleaner additive?
thanks in advance.

When you do return just remember every lubricated part is now bone dry. Take it easy on the accellerator for the first few minutes. This includes the tranny, rear end etc.
