gs wont start... new motor
Need help. My 00 gs dying at 220k. Tranny ( 3f302 ) lost 1st and 3rd. Motor has bad 02s, bad valve cover gasket,b ad head gasket.
Bought a 04 2jzge, and a 3f500 tranny, all new o2s, obx header. On the motor swapped wire harnes, serpentine pulley and timing cover. (Cover had been smashed in old vehicle). Tried to pull crank pulley with nuematic gun and could not break it loose. So use a compressor and blew out the timing cover to assure nothing had fallen in during previous accident/shipping. Installned in car, no star. Cranks but firing. Then checked the firing order, but with the coil packs you cant mix them up. Changed fuel rail and injectors. Since the wiring by the plugs was brittle as we all know, cut off the 04 wiring for the coil packs and soldered that in place of the old. Same...plugged in my obd scanner and it shows a po1300. Changed to the origanal 00 coil packs. same.... a buddies friend came over and checked it and said ecu was wrong/faulty.... said it needs the 04 ecu...
if everything is origanal but the block how is the ecu wrong? How often do these fault? Fault unplugged just sitting?
