Default HID ballast not working in socket?

meh Didn't want to make a thread, but couldnt find anything.

My HID ballasts (aftermarket) work on my foglight sockets, but don't work on my low beam sockets.

The regular halogen bulbs work but not the ballasts.

I used to always have the ballasts hooked up to them, then I took them out for a while because a bulb blew.

Now BOTH lowbeam sides dont accept the HID ballasts.

What can I do with this?

Have you tried flipping the plugs on the ballasts, or even making sure they're pushed in fully?

...since you brought that up... OP, if that's the case have you tried checking the fuse(s)?

All fuses are fine. After all the halogen bulbs work.

I was thinking that one of the connections may be corroded. But on both?

Check the prong placement of your stock connector with the ballast connector. I had an issue with mine no seating all the way plugged it. Depending on your hid ballast if you have a (+) and (-) on the ballast, the red/white wire on the headlight connector is positive and the white/blk wire is negative. The fuse for the fog lights is in on the lower driver-side kick panel. It took me awhile to find it if you didn't know. Also test the low beams one more time and then try turning on your high beams. If they turn on with high beams, you may need to add a relay.
