Default Castor arm bushing replacement

I couldn't find anyone that sold the bushing seperately and the best price I found on the entire arms was $140 so I bought the complete control arm kit from Sewell and hope to have it sometime soon.

My question is (yes, I did search) what is the process for removing and installing the castor arm bushings. Can I just cut the old one's out and put the new bushings on or do I need to take it somewhere with a press?

I doubt I'm going to install the actual control arm bushings at this point. Maybe sometime down the road... because time is of the essence since I have a month old son that is getting 99% of my free time right now

the castor arm bushing is not meant to be replaced...there's no point taking out the bushing from the new arm and install it onto the old arm. You should have gotten the Daizen front control arm bushings instead so you never have to worry about any of the bushings for as long as the car lasts.

How i figured is $140 arms + $180 labor every 60k, or $100 bushings + $300 labor once and for all and covers more than the castor arm. Keep in mind that i live in so cal so labor is a lot cheaper to install bushings.

When I said I bought the control arm kit, the Daizen kit was the one I was referring to. I didn't buy the arms, just wondering how difficult it will be to install the new bushings in the old arms...

ok i see what you're getting at. If you are an experienced mechanic, it should take you about the whole day (6-8 hours) at an easy pace. You will need an access to a press and torch.

This is the tutorial for the ls400 fca bushings. It's not exactly the guide for our cars, but the structure should be very similar:
