hi guys
i trired to search before asking, i didnt really find anything.

okay here is the problem it has happened exactly 3 times in the last 2-3 months
the car just shuts off at idle, be it on e stop light or just standing still, once happened in a mc drive thourgh, i have my car pretty maintained, i do change the cars oil every 3-4k ( synthetic oil) got all the service work done at lexus, including the 90k service even before it got to 90k...anyways i had the last tune up done at 60k, now the car has 90k,. the dealer told me, to do the next tune up at 120k i duno i was thinking maybe it needs a tune up? i have the plugs sitting in my garage .....
(i shut my car down while putting gas and make sure the cap clicks when tightened) also i always put 93oct gas...any suggestions? what could be the problem?

well the thing is that you are not telling us any symptoms? Do the revs drop what happens before it shuts down? Usually people whose gs have shut off has been the fault of the maf sensor.

nothing , no symtoms, its just shuts off, maybe the rev drops too low? it only happened 3 times and other 2 times my friend was driving the last one was 2-3 days ago so i got kinda annoyed, i have an SRT intake for more than 8 months now, TC , etc no engine light nothing..

Could this be down to the dreaded throttle linkage sensor fault? I know mine did this a few times...and it hasnt done it ever since i changed he sensor...last winter

its a problem with the idle on our gs4's. the car idles too low and dies as a result. here's some other threads about the situation:

i guess after reading the posts can be the MAF or the throttle sensor? whats that? or maybe the car is just idling to low? and needs to adjusted?
