Default **A bluelex makeover featuring New 21 inch Zone, 2 Tone paint, and other tid bits**

I just wanted to share pics with my home family before she debuts at HIN this weekend. The drifting 18's are off so we decided to push the envelope a little...

I don't know where to start so I'll start with the man at D2autosport who has always been my right hand man. Derrick at D2 and I were hanging out in Jersey this past winter and cooked up a plan in conjunction with Zone Forged to debut a New Line of sizes that they were coming out with and new Finishes. Their 1st set of 21 inch 3 pc fully forged wheels in a new finish called Titanium Chrome. Now they had already done brush blk titanium but we requested if the finish could be done in chrome and Guys at Zone abliged producing what is is just an eye catching finish that changes as you walk by it. So I had to find who makes 21 inch tires in the exact staggard sizes i would need, well I looked no further than to our own Johny at High Society VIP for a newly released line of Falken 452 tires. While I had Johny on the phone he also got me a JP 3 pc spoiler for good measure. So While all this was put into order in the winter I decided to take the car over to Grip industries for some upgrades. Than back up to Madmods in Orlando to put into effect a new paint scheme with some minor body touches..

So the plan went into effect 1st at Grip where we added the following..

Performance parts added:
-Converted from sequential twin to true twin
-US spec Twin Turbos and manifolds
-550 injectors
-3.5 inch customized stainless steel Down Pipe
-3 inch customized stainless steel mid pipe back
-V-band
-Greddy catch can
-Fluidyne Supra Radiator -Hi-polished
-Turbo Smart Fuel pressure regulator
-Flex-o-lite cooling fans
-Murrey's Chrome water resivour
-Earls Transmission cooler
-Precision Industries 3200 stall Torque Converter
-Supra Radiator bar

Performance eye candy upgrades:
-Color matched engine bay with 3 layers of clear coat
-Color matched front frame
-Color matched pipes
-Color matched engine covers
-Color matched Optima yellow top battery
-Chrome battery connectors
-80% of oem wires hidden
-Black braided lines
-Stainless steel braided transmission lines
-Hi-polished cam gears
-Custom Black Granite Cup Holder Gauge Pod.

Performance Electronic upgrades:
-Apexi Safc 2 special blk edition
-Apexi EVCR Boost controller special blk edition
-Apexi Turbo timer special blk edition
-Autometer Colbolt Boost, oil pressure, tranny temp, water temp, Air/fuel gauges
-PLX M3 Digital air/fuel reader customized into oem clock slot.

Next the wheels and tires came.
We requested BBK clearence and a 4 inch lip out back with a 2.5 inch lip up front. D2 in conjucntion with Bob at Zone again delivered.

Zone 1's 3pc fully forged. ( I've had 5 spokes for 4 years, wanted something different and also more open to show off the BBK)

Titanium Chrome centers,Chrome lips.
21x9.5 2.5 inch lip clears BBK.
21x11 4 inch lip clears BBK.

Tires courtesy of High Society VIP
Falken 452's
255/30/21 front
295/25/21 rear

Lastly, the car entered my body shop for a new paint scheme. Wanted something out of the box yet real clean and simple. The wheels are already pushing the envelope so why not take the paint in that direction.

2 tone in the untraditional way.

-Resprayed a Du Pont version of Spectra Mica Blue but a a tad bit darker with a little more pearl.
-Ran a 3 shade darker Spectra Blue down the center of the car. Grill, Center Hood, Center top of Roof, and Top of trunk.
-Removed and sanded down Winshield washer squirters.
-Stretched rear Fender about 5mm.
-Stretched front Fender about 8-10mm
-Painted under hood Spectra blue.
-Painted trunk jams.
-3 coats of clearcoat.

Took my Intercooler piping and Intercooler off and did the Titanium Chrome finish to match the wheel centers.

I took these pics real quick but will have better shots over the weekend. I just really want to thank Derrick at D2, Bob at Zone, Rob,Pete at Grip Industries, Johny at High Society VIP,Bobby at MadMods and the members at CL, Hameed, who really helped with the paint scheme, Indio,Johnee78,and Italian Lex.

OK I bored you enough..PICS-

Wheels when they came in.

Engine bay's new look-

Wow...simply wow. Your car inspires me man

What are those 4 switches in place of the heated seats and ECT? Are you on air or something now?

Holy crap! I've been waiting to see the re-birth of this beast for some time now... it was worth the wait!

Looks great, Adrian. Love the subtle two-tone and the engine compartment.
Wheels look killer; just as I thought, 21s are a perfect for for the 2GS!! Sick!!!
