Default NEWB alert: questions about 20's on a GS2

I'm totally new to the GS2, dubs, and all of that. I've been reading this forum for a few days now, researching people's setups.

Now, I see that some GS2 owners run 35 series tires up front and 30 series in the back. I assume this is to clear the fenders? And this means that the rear tires have a skinnier sidewall than the fronts right, so wouldn't that look funny? Is it possible to run 20x9 wheels in the front / 20x10 in the rear and run 35 series all around?

What ever happened to that wheel fitment guide? Anyone have a working link?

Don't forget that the profile is an aspect ratio, not the actual side wall dimension...just because they are not equal doesn't mean that they won't have the same sidewall height.

For example...

245/35/20: 245 mm x .35 = 85.75 mm / 25.4 mm/in = 3.38 in

285/30/20: 285 mm x .30 = 85.50 mm / 25.4 mm/in = 3.36 in

yeah exactly man. i run a 245/35/20 & 275/30/20 setup. i was specifically told by wheel and tire experts to do this so they WOULD match... the number works in relation to the width of the tire.. the 245/35 and 275/30 works out to be barely millimeters apart in sidewall "height"..when you're ready to purchase a setup or if you have additional questions, you should really hit up D2AUTOSPORT.. hes a member/vendor/sponsor here on the forums and he REALLY knows what he's talkin about.

Damn, you guys are awesome! Thanks for the answers and tips.

As far as offsets, I haven't figured it out yet. I was thinking of bluelex's offset that I saw on the featured cars page here on CL, or maybe just a tad smaller.

If I have further questions, I know where to go.
