WATEGATE:

Brand New High Performance 38mm External Turbosmart Wastegate.
To manage the upper-deck air pressure the turbocharger's exhaust gas flow is regulated with a wastegate that bypasses excess
Exhaust gas entering the turbocharger's turbine. This regulates the rotational speed of the turbine and the output of the compressor.
This regulates the rotational speed of the turbine and the output of the compressor. The wastegate is opened and closed by the compressed air from turbo (the upper-deck pressure) and can be raised by using a solenoid to regulate the pressure fed to the wastegate membrane.
This solenoid can be controlled by Automatic Performance Control, the engine's electronic control unit or an after market boost control computer. Another method of raising the boost pressure is through
the use of check and bleed valves to keep the pressure at the membrane lower than the pressure within the system.
FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR:

Well that would be a cheap way to go but,

1. No manifold

2. Tiny turbo, 2" outlet. That kit uses a T3 housing on the turbo which is not ideal for our application. ALL the Supra's and decent GE kits use T4 based turbos, the move is being made to T6 for racing apps. T3 is not what you want if your going to be doing a turbo kit on your Gs. So you are going to have to dig and find a T3 based Ge manifold somewhere, or use an adapter or weld on a new flange to the brand new manifold you just bought.

3. No downpipe

Outside of that, just the usual, watch for crappy components (blow off is probably going to be junk), intercooler is on the small side, piping is stated to be "black coating" whatever that is suposed to mean.

In the end you are going to end up spending $$$ on a new turbo, manifold, oil fittings, boost controller, fuel pump, injectors, fabbing of pipes if you can't do it yourself, down pipe, etc....

I noticed that also. I wanted to see how many people were going to catch what was missing. One of the most important parts which is the manifold.

That turbo is wayyyyyy too small for our ride.

The real reason I started this thread is so that fellow CL members don't get caught out there with this. If there are some spontaneous shoppers here. they may not realize what their getting themselves into.

Nothing wrong with educating the masses.

Never said I was going to buy it. I was just sharing something I came across and I thought about the fact that someone may think its a good deal until you realize all the important stuff is missing. That was the point of it.

To answer your question. Yeah, i do have some XS Power stuff I'm playing with...

I have some XP Power stuff. A massive FMIC 3" thick and 3" inlet/outlet. Manifold and downpipe are also made by xspower. I have two friends with supras both running in excess of 600-700hp on the XSPower manifolds. So far no problems or cracks, but if there it ever cracks....the price of a new manifold is a joke.
