Default Q for turbo gurus...

I just installed a na-t kit that I bought from a guy over at supraforums.
The kit came with PT63 .81 A/R turbo, I got a turbonetics wastegate with 7 lbs spring in it. Try to run the car but it doesn't feel like the turbo is spooling as it should. "no boost gauge yet I know I know"

I was told the .81 A/R is too big to run 7lbs of boost on this turbo is this true? There is nothing done to the fuel etc.

Ooo by the way the turbo might be SP 63 it's chrome polished and only says .81 A/R , the guy who sold me the kit he said it's same turbo than Sound Performane uses.

Thanks for your input..

Check your oil lines to see if the turbo is getting proper amounts of oil.

Is the turbo spinning at idle? What is your idle at and what CR are you running.

the .81 is fine. A bit laggy but its fine.

get a gauge, make sure you got no boost leaks.

The oil lines seems to be hot , so I guess there is some oil flowing thru them.
I'm running stock CR and stock fuel. Shoul the turbo spin at idle? I thought it only spins under load.

Thanks.

the turbo spinning at idle is completely normal..you just won't boost at idle.
