Is axle ratio the same as gear ratio?
This link mentions 4.27 axle ratio for 1999 GS300. Does it mean gear ratio, or is it something else. Please educate me...

More like a brochure typo, 'cause I think people mentioned here that GS400 has 3.27 (many replace it with the 3.76 one) and GS300 has 3.92. But that link says 4.27 for 99 GS300

Yep, that surprised me too, 'cause everyone here said that GS3 has 3.92. Edmunds seems to be pretty reliable source, though. So, I don't know...
