I just installed the TRD front strut tower brace on my GS430 that I got from Steve at Carson Toyota. It only took 15 minutes to install and I can't wait to try it out on my favorite curves tomorrow.......you know the ones with a posted speed limit of 25mph that you take at 65 plus.
To install, take off the rubber stut covers and the engine cover. Using a 14mm deep socket remove the 3 nuts on each side then the black plate on the towers that lift right off. Then just drop in the bar and torque nuts to 41 ft lbs which is the correct conversion from the metric torque specs listed on the japanese TRD instruction sheet.
The STB holes are elongated. If you set it on top of the towers without removing the strut nuts and plates it doesn't fit. But with the nuts and plates off it fits perfectly.
Good price and service from Steve.
