GS 2nd-Gen 98-05 Paint Code Information
Here is the chart of color for the US-Spec Lexus GS. If you see an error please post it here and I will correct the page and graphic ASAP. You can upload a photo of your car by clicking on the graphic, then clicking on the appropriate camera icon next to your color.
If you need me to update the chart please post your model year (or production date), color code and a description or photo of your car. For now this is for US-Spec cars only, I will add other countries in the future.

Not enough experience or knowledge to comment on your accuracy, but a nicely done site with a lot work involved. I uploaded a pic of my pure stock black cherry GS 430.

Thanks! I used information that I found on a touchup paint website to determine years and paint codes... but I am betting that some of it is innaccurate. For example, they listed some extra colors for th Toyota Echo that I discovered only when I found copies of the brochures for each year. Who knows, they might have gotten the GS right, but I bet there is at least one mistake!

Yeah, Monday mornings we get hit pretty hard... it was probably just too many people overloading the poor server. Give it another shot and it should work.

Well, for some crazy reason I decided to start expanding on it to include charts with color years and codes. The problem is that I have been piecing together conflicting information to create these charts. I was hoping that a few of you might take a look and let me know if you see any errors.

Also, if you have any good, clean photos of a Lexus in a particular color please click on the camera icon next to the appropriate color and upload it. I was pretty tired and I'm not sure if I have the right colors uploaded, etc.
Either post any errors you see here, or shoot me an email: darren@spinout180.com
Thanks guys!

OK, I just discovered someone else's chart on the net... but some colors don't jive with my chart... can anyone confirm if these colors were available:
- Ash Blue Mica (1E8) in 2003
- Blue Meridian Pearl (8R4) in 2003
- Burnished Gold Metallic (4P2) in 2003
- Dorado Gold Pearl (587) in 2003
- Flint Mica (1E0) in 2003
- Mystic Sea Opalescent (6S5) in 2001
- Sand Dollar Pearl (4R2) in 2002
- Spectra Blue Mica (8M6) in 2000
As you can see, all of these color are indicated on my chart, but if they weren't actually produced in those years I want to make sure they get removed!

That chart is actually where I found the inconsistancies between my data and their data. I list colors for certain years that aren't listed on that chart. I wanted someone that had first-hand knowledge to verify the existence or non-existence of those colors and years listed above your thread.

The list above is incorrect as far as my color is concerned. I have a 98 paint code 4P1. It is Antique Bronze Mica. Burnished Gold is 4P2. This is more or less correct in the 98 chart.
In the 99 chart, 4P1 became Burnished Gold and 4P2 became Copper Brown. I cannot confirm if there was a name change from ABM to Copper Brown, but I am pretty sure Lexus would be dumb enough to make swap name/paint code for the Burnished Gold.

Yeah, I noticed a few inconsistancies in that list... which makes everything on it suspect. But that doesn't mean that mine doesn't have errors as well. At least my list (at the top) got YOUR car right. Haha.
