How does the ride quality of the stock 17" tires compare to that of 18" tires like the Yokohama AV db, Toyo T1-S, or Bridgestone Pole Position S-02? Is there a significant difference in the harshness of the ride or the road noise with these 18" tires?
I have no problem with the ride quality or the noise with the stock 17" tires, but I was wondering if these three tires were significantly different.

GS_D,
i think back in japan, lex did a CHEAP buy on the stock bridgestone re030 in 17"s. they are so noisy and bad quality.
of all the moodels you listed, it has been known and docummented that even the 18"s that has lower profile ARE smoother and quiter than the stock 17s.
actually you do not even need to go upto the S02s to get the smoothness. get the re730 for smoothness and longevity, AA traction and low price. the toyos t1s is very good as well. the avs db is quite, but the traction and performance is a tad lower.
