Default New Lexus GS Paint Colors

I was on the LEXUS website and playing around building cars, and 2004 GS's have the color options of Blue Onyx Pearl, Blue Marlin Pearl, Mystic Sea Opalescent, Parchement Crystal, Black Cherry Pearl(not sure if this one is new.) The blue's look sweet. Now indication on leather looks like the same color/wood options. Well two weeks till Auto Show and I will be there the first day.

Those are the same colors since 2001 (remember, the colors for the new 2005 will probably be different). Black Cherry looks nice till you see it in person. Saw it on an LS430 last year - dealer said they couldn't give the car away. Doesn't matter much cause it is almost impossible to get a GS430 in anything other than Black or Silver.

Haven't seen it but Blue Marlin sounds new. The other ones have been around a while.

doug_999,

What's so bad about the Black Cherry Pearl? I think it looks nice, even in person...I'm surprised the dealer said they couldn't "give the car away"....Yes, I admit it, I have a Black Cherry Pearl GS430...It was not my first choice of color when I bought it (July 03), but they weren't making any with the colors I wanted back then. Still, I think the Black Cherry is pretty...

btanchors - If it isn't offered on a bimmer, well it just can't be that good (right, Doug).

For me it was between the blue onyx and black cherry. I got the blue onyx but it could have gone either way. One thing nice about both of these colors is that they are not black or silver that it seems like about 95% of GS are. Haven't heard anything from dealers saying it was a hard color to sell either.

I have the Blue Onyx Pearl, i love the color and it took awhile for me to get it too. Received lots of compliments on the color, so it was worth the wait.

I dont think it would be a problem to sell a GS that is Black Cherry, any color that is not white, black, or silver for a GS is very rare..........and people want to get a car in a rare color.

To be honest, I've never seen it in person on a GS430. On the LS, it was not pretty. You have a very rare color that's for sure. Here in Chicago, almost every GS430 since 2002 has been black/black with occasional silver made. That's the way the "region" orders them so the customers don't have a lot of choice. Even then, they (the dealers) are not real enthusiastic about ordering one. Funny Ron, BMW dealers have no trouble ordering any color you want - even custom ones

That is true....people want cars that are not the norm....at least I do!!!! And yes, the Black Cherry on a GS looks very nice. There is one that is around my neighborhood....i've seen it a couple time and the color is beautiful.
