Anybody have this issue
There is a weird (rpm dependant) sound that is like a "wha wha wha" I thought it was exhaust leak but I just did all the exhaust gaskets and it's still there. It's not wheel bearing or tires because of rpm dependency...I'm lost

It's probably a bearing. That could be your AC compressor, alternator, timing belt tensioner pulleys, water pump or power steering pump. If you have an automotive stethoscope, it'll be pretty easy to find.

Maybe, I don't have a stethoscope though. I do have my ac comp disconnected because there is a short from it somewhere. But it may also be the p/s pump because that thing just wines the whole time. I plan to replace all accessories one day.

A cheap and easy way to check for noises is use a hose or a screw driver and place it against different components and then against your ear. If you can't seem to find it on one of the front rotating assembly's it could be timing belt tensioner pulley. The other thing that it could be, which I believe is my problem, is the a/c compressor clutch rubbing due to lack of clearance.

Its probely the Dizzy. I know it sounds stupid...but when the bearings go out it makes a Wha wha wha noise. The only thing you can do is get a reman from Oreilly or autozone or go to the junkyard. You cant replace the bearings yourself, the Dizzy has a stamped rotor hub that dosnt unscrew.

You figure it out yet? I forgot to tell you...if you want to know if its the Distributor.. take the serpentine belt off and start the car for a couple seconds. If the noise is still there, expect the Dizzy to be bad or the timing belt tensioner.

I have been working on my wifes mazda nonstop swapping a new motor in.
I would have to take the serpentine off and go for a cruise. I only hear the noise when driving. I kinda feel like maybe a cracked exhaust might be the culprit because I get a burnt exhaust like smell when I really get the rpms up.
Thanks for checking up though, I rashly appreciate it.
