that looks really clean. almost like my car. same color rims and everything. only difference is i got limo tint ALL around and clear corners front and rear TURN signal. thats the same setup i was gonna do but i don't think the bass will sound as good as having the subs face backwards. other than that thats a really clean install. good job. BTW do you still have ratteling?? i used 1 1/2 rolls of Raammat60 for my trunk, back seat, rear deck. i currently have 0 ratteling. i also have FOAMED up my entire trunk with expanding foam. the 1/2 of the other roll i'm gonna do up my doors/
btw your wires don't look like 0/1 gauge. looks like 4. also i didn't know they made AGU fuse higher than 80. 80 is the max. there is no way that could be 150. also i would recomend running your power cable down the other side of your fuse box. the way you have it ran right now it will get extremely hot and may melt

Where did you get the "rammat" for the rear deck and how much did it cost? I have heard of "dynomat" but not "rammat."
I am curious to know how it all turns out.. cuz i am thinking of changing my current subwoofer setup. I initially didn't want an extreme amount of bass just a good clean sound all around. And i thought about doing a custom enclosure under the rear deck but opted to go with a "Free Air" sub instead. Kenwood makes a 12 inch "Free Air" . This is what i am currently using. I had to order it directly from Kenwood as no one around here has any. Luckily i ran into a Kenwood rep. The 12' sub fits perfectly in the rear deck.. No cutting. Bass is good and impresses the hell out of everyone. I however no it can be better. As with a free air sometimes the sound is variable and there is a little flatness on some songs. I am running a 5-Channel Kenwood Amp with about 140 watts avail to the approx. 130watt RMS sub.
I am curious to see some of the other configurations here on the forum.
All feel free to give me your input. Thanks.

007 you can get the raammat from Rick Mccullum. The website is RAAMMAT it is $60 for 92 square feet of the best stuff. Much cheaper than dynomat and works just as good.
Jmai the blue and silver wires going to the amps are infact 1/0 gauge, they look better in person. I've had them ran for a couple weeks now and they don't get hot where they are. I must have made a mistake on the fuse cause I meant "ANL" Nope no rattling at all but then again i didn't have any rattling even without the rammat. All the sound from my woofer goes into the cabin. I am gonna do my doors too though. I tested it both ways and I think it sounds better this way then having it facing backwards, much better sq IMO, and with 1000 watts rms it can get "ouch" loud.

By the way Gompka, i do like what you are doing. The questions should have been viewed as compliments as well.
I heard Jmai say he used 1 1/2 rolls of Rammat 60... How much did you use? Did you go with Rammat 60 as well? I ask cuz i may do this as well...to eliminate a little rattle i have at certain frequencies.
I too feel that the bass reproduction would be better using the factory cutout. I think this is the reason the factory Nak subs sound good and my Kenwood sounds much better than that.

The volt meter is a 2.5" cyberdyne volt meter and you can buy it online for about $50 bux. To install it in the ashtray I had to take the gauge apart so that I just had the circuit board and segment l.e.d to work with. I had to file off the edges of the gauge a bit to get it to fit. Then I took a piece of aluminum and filled out the openings for the voltage display and the little battey. Then i painted the aluminum black and gooped it to the ashtary opening. Goop is better than glue cause when you want to take it off it'll come off without leaving residue.

Gompka, May i also ask how you wired up your volt meter?? i just thought about it and i got kind of confused. i was thinking did you just connect it straight to your battery?? if so that would mean it would be on all the time and would drain your battery (not a lot but still). is there some sort of remote wire that you wired it up so that only when your radio is on the volt meter comes on?
