Hi Guys,

I got a winding noise came out of my drive belt tensioner. I replaced my drive belt pulley but the noise still there. Here is my dilemma for this noise. I had my wife step on brake to identify the winding noise is came from my drive belt tensioner but when she lets it go then the winding noise gone away in a bit later from my drive belt tensioner. I used a long tube to identify this noise. Now my question to you guys, what is stepping on brake pedal is got to do with this winding noise? Are any of you have experience this kind of noise before with GS300?

Start the car without the drive belt on and see if the noise is still there. Most likely culprit IMO is the power steering pump.

can be your power steering pump. or did you get oil or water on the belts? try spraying some belt conditioner on the belts and see if the noise goes away. also turn the steering wheel left and right a few times and see if th winding noise gets louder, if it does most likely its the steering pump or you might be low on steering fluid. remember the steering fluid is atf dexron 3.

Let me tell what I did to the car, I replace new drive belt with tensioner pulley, power steering fluid is OK I check, didn't take drive belt out yesterday afternoon because raining, noise still there more noticeable when step on brake, turn steering wheel left and right make no different. Thanks.
