Anyone selling a used iphone?
I've been looking for a used iphone (you'll see why in a minute) that's unlocked and jailbroken. I think it can only be the first generation (Edge?) because I have a REALLY old AT&T SIM card (way back before Cingular took over and went back to at&t) that I don't want to lose because of the grandfathered price plan. I was told to upgrade my SIM to 3G but I'm scared I'll lose my pricing. So... I had a friend unlock the iphone but it won't work. I just recently met up with a friend and he just had his unlocked and jailbroken (a picture of a pineapple logo) and it works on his. His was the first generation 2G.
Can I get the 3G to work? If so, anyone selling their old one for cheap?
Thanks,

I have changed out my SIM card a few times already (Once when it was Cingular and once with AT&T) and I have a Family Talk plan of 850 minutes that's not even offered any more for $69.99 and they haven't increased my plan, you should be able to get a 3G SIM card with no problem of them changing your plan. Just go to an AT&T store ask them that you want to keep the same plan and then get a new 3G SIM card

dude, your plan [no matter what carrier in the world] is not limited to the sim card only. You have an account with them, yes? Then that is enough you need, you account and price plan =/= what sim card you use. The two aren't related in terms of changes to your account.
In other words they cannot touch your pricing based upon a sim swap, this is inevitable, since with time these things need to be upgraded to work with better and evolved phones.
