Need mechanic in Clearwater/St. Pete area
Hi, I'm hoping this works better as a separate thread. I've just joined the forum, though I browsed a bit 2 years ago when I bought my 1998 LS400. At the time it had 55,000 miles on it, and I elected not to do anything mechanically, as it checked out as pristine as it looked.
Now, approaching 80,000 miles, I've decided it's time to pre-emptively replace the timing belt and related stuff (water pump, etc.). I'll also likely replace the front end suspension components that are sometimes troublesome. (Can't remember what those are exactly without going back through the LS400 threads, which I will do.)
So, I'm looking for an honest and reliable mechanic in the Clearwater/St. Pete area. Can anyone give me a recommendation? I would prefer not to go to a dealership as my resources are limited. The car is completely stock, and I'm not looking to mod it, just normal maintenance.
Any suggestions, either here or by Private Message, would be HUGELY appreciated. Thanks.
