Default Rear defroster

Hi all. I have a 2013 ES350. When using rear defroster, the top 3 inches do not clear. Is this normal? Not sure if wires up there are antenna or defroster. Thanks for your help.

You can see that not all the element lines go all the way across the glass, as they do on the lower lines. Most likely an antenna.....can't check until we get some bad weather. There used to be something called a "diversity antenna system" that compared roof and glass antennae reception, and chose the best signal continuously. I don't know if they still use it.

They still use it, "Diversity Antenna" is the first item listed under the Entertainment heading
