Default any one get good deal es300h 2014?

Hello!

I plan to purchase a 2014 ES300h. Did any one get good deal in southern California?

Thanks,

Alan

I am in Scottsdale, AZ. Took delivery of my 300h ULP, ten days ago....
I have every option Lexus makes, except 'remote engine start'.
No Pano, Mike.
55,650, "Out the Door", then got a 2.5% discount, for all cash.

Look at the deals thread. Go off that a little bit and email all the lexus dealers in california and make them compete for your purchase. Dont budge on the price YOU want to pay for it. Negotiate the price before ttl and destination fees. Just make sure you know what options you really want and make sure you tell them exactly what car you want. Good luck!

I will be special ordering a 2014 in the next couple of days.
I will post the exact deal once it is in writing. It is a bit over $5,000 off MSRP.

Alan - in SoCal, you should be able to get at least 10% off msrp - maybe more. Lots of dealers here - email the Internet Mgrs with your criteria and request quotes. We've had good luck with Tustin Lexus - Internet Mgr is Steve D.

Good Luck,

Bill G

That sounds like a great deal for a special order... Please post deal when you get it.

I'd recommend contacting all the dealers online as far as you're willing to drive to. Shoot for about 300 to 400 over invoice at the end of any month. Another bonus about web correspondence is most dealers have their web sales on quantity sales instead of commission.

I was one of the first to get a 14 in Oregon when they were available and originally was looking for a 13 close out. I had a few dealers from northern CA to northern WA all looking for the package and color I wanted. I had all intentions of buying through the costco auto program which offers about $800 over dealer invoice. The lexus dealer in Bellevue, WA gave me better deal on a 14 than I would get on a close out 13 so thinking it was too good to be true, I called them on it and arranged to pickup the car the next day. I drove 9 hours with the fam and had a 14 before any OR dealers had one on their lot.

I live in the DC area and just bought a 2014 Lexus ES 300H, Cerulean Blue Metallic color, I think there is a new December to remember incentive out there right now which sucks because I just bought my car two days ago.

The one email I have received by a dealer today only spoke of leases for the December to remember incentive.

That's very odd as dealers want you to finance.
They make money writing loans from Lexus/Toyota and more from banks.

One interesting aspect of getting good deals on the ES300h is how the Costco deal has changed. The dealer shared the invoice pricing and the Costco letters to show how the pricing worked. Costco's written letters filed with the dealership show that for 2013, the Costco price is $750 above invoice, and for2014, the Costco price is $1,750 above invoice.

We bought a 2014 for $400 under invoice which was approx. $3,000 under MSRP

I have spoken to the Costco Auto Program team to tell them how disappointing it was to find out that the Costco program was over $2,000 above what was fairly easy to achieve through just asking for a better price. I know I came nowhere close to the lowest prices seen on this site but considering there are only two dealerships in the state it's hard have a lot of competition.

Of course, YMMV

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you said, something doesn't add up in what I quoted above. The invoice price for a 2014 ES should be, depending on how the vehicle is equipped, anywhere from $4500 to somewhere over $5000 below MSRP. That invoice price should be somewhere very close to 88% of the MSRP for a 2014 ES, and that applies to both the ES350 and the ES300h.

Dealers get volume rebates or incentives, so it is possible to sell a car below invoice and collect the rebates at the end of each month or quarter.

I'm not sure if your reply refers to my post, but, if it does, the point of my post is the price quoted in the post to which I was replying was actually between $2000 and $2500 above invoice and not $400 below invoice. Again, I could be misunderstanding something in what Unabacia is saying, but, if I've got what he/she said straight, my numbers should be very close.

As I said in a post a few pages back, it is not unheard of for less than scrupulous dealers to be less than honest about what the invoice price is and to present documentation purported to be the invoice that, in reality, isn't the invoice.

I agree with Lesz, I think the invoice for the ES is around 90% of the MSRP, +/-. This number excludes any incentive, holdbacks or credits the factory may give the dealer that isn't passed onto the buyer, unless they sell below their invoice.

So at $45K msrp, invoice for the ES350 would be around $40,500 which is $4,500 below the msrp. Dealer would probably still pay less due to the incentives they get from the manufacturer.
