New car dealer swap????

It's problematic that the dealer and sales person were not up front with this. But if the vehicle is the color and has the equipment you want, consider that the warranty will start at the delivery mileage. If the car passes your inspection, do you really want to veto the deal and start from scratch? Over 150 miles? Now if the car shows up with dings and scratches or some problem caused by the trip, that's a different story. Personally, I'd be more concerned about what could happen during loading and unloading the vehicle on and off the truck.
But again, I'd be really upset with my sales person and the dealer 's apparent inability to be up front with a customer who is spending a good deal of money. Says something about them.
Hope everything comes out ok for you.

I've had dealer trade cars hauled on a flatbed truck as few as 20 miles and as much as 350 miles. I offered / asked to pick up a car 100 miles away once (not a Lexus) and was refused for a variety of reasons, dealer swapping another car, insurance etc. so they sent a 17 year old to get it. In any case each worked out okay. And for what it is worth I think your warranty starts with the mileage when you pickup the car since it has never been titled. And one more story that may explain a dealer's reluctance to have you pick up the car - I was buying a Honda Accord one time (many years ago when they were really hard to get) and my dealer told me they had one located at another dealer so I went down to look at it and they tried to sell it to me at a lower price - I declined. Of course they aren't supposed to do this and I think modern franchise agreements may even prohibit one dealer from refusing a dealer trade because the car probably is actually still owned by the manufacturer anyway.
But you will soon be enjoying your new ES.

Something else, I didn't see here mentioned. Breaking in a car properly involves not driving at constant speeds. Chances are, your driver will get on the freeway and set the cruise control. Better that you drive it yourself, and vary things up. In addition, you can use all this ammo above to get a price break, I would think!

I'm posting this in follow up. The car was flatbed to my dealer with 35 miles on it total. Upon delivery it had 40 miles on it as it was driven to the prep center for full prep and detailing. The car is a beautiful Deep Sea Mica and was perfect at delivery. It is now in my wife's hands and she's very happy with it.
Thank you everybody for the helpful replies.

Miles are documented at the time of delivery, if it has 150 miles then you are covered to 50,150 and 70,150. The 48 & 60 month periods obviously start the day of delivery also.
Time = Money. Flatbeds cost money but save time. Unless you are paying MSRP you are asking your local tax paying, local employee hiring, carwash, loaner car providing Dealer to accept less profit. A car hauled on an open truck is as likely to get bug and stone spots as one being driven, right?
Destination charges are equalized and averaged Nationally. We pay roughly the same freight to get an LS from Japan to Chicago as an Impala from Toronto. Insurance is a large part of the fee.
We have four retired non smoking hikers. Very conscientious fellows that check over your new wheels very carefully. Biggest complaint is often that they don't drive quickly enough, customer wants the car right now!
