Has anyone heard that Consumer Reports has found that the emergency interior trunk escape lever on the 2013 Lexus ES and GS can easily snap off during use, potentially leaving a trapped occupant without any way to escape. I guess that's what happens when you use cheap materials, I think Lexus has to go back to their root quality not quantity.

Thats a pretty minor thing. If thats our idea of a "troubling recall" we're doing pretty well.

I had it done on mine and got a free tank of gas to boot.

My 2013 ES350 isn't affected by the recall.

Yep I had it done for my father, the good part is you get a free full tank of gas. Its a little thicker than the current one.

If you are registered on the Lexus website, you can log in at My Lexus under Owner Resources and click on Safety Recall and Service Campaigns. We have an ES300h and it shows that we need to bring it in. But we better hurry....it says bring it in by February 28, 2016!
