Thats one of the big reasons why I got the GS over a new ES. The GS was only $70 a month more than I was paying for the 2010 ES because of the huge difference in residuals. ES leases weren't great at that time either, but have since gotten much better.

Sounds like the GS has a great residual, and lower depreciation than the ES, including the latest model to have only a $70/month difference. That's only a $2500 difference in deprec. over 36 months which is fantastic. If I were leasing, it's a no brainer for that kind of money,

Well nowadays the difference is more because they also have great residuals on the ES...probably paying more like $150-$200 a month difference. It was a confluence of circumstances, they had ridiculous deals on the GS, not great deals on the ES, the GS had a better money factor than the ES at the time.
