Yes, the ES is scheduled to be revealed in full on April the 4th (next Wednesday) at the New York Int; Auto Show, we'll get a better sense of the car then.

I'm anxious to see the real thing, or at least better pictures of the 2013. So far, I'm not too impressed with the looks of the new generation - At least from the early pictures that are going around.

I couldn't agree more, but I'm hoping that what I'll see will soften my stance some.
That totally odd/weird/strange panel between the grille & hood is a complete deal-breaker for me. I don't care for the interior either.
Maybe a GS?
Yes, the GS is really nice in person, the grill is not as 'bold' as shown in pictures and it's a lot more 'tame'. Interior is very lux. I test drove one last week. The car is awesome, smooth drive, with optional sport mode, which really holds the car firm to the road, but the ride is firm/smooth but not rough/bumpy and road noise is isolated.
I could see myself buying a GS, however, I'm not there yet, I couldn't get the saleman below $55K, but then again, I was just looking and not ready to get serious. I'm not impressed with the interior of the ES at all either and the grill looks overdone, however, I'm holding off my final judgement until I see it revealed next week and when I see it in person.
The rear looks different from the pic in China. The lights don't seem to wrap around as much, but I could be mistaken...This is a tease pic posted on twitter by Lexus...

Hope it's just the angle or something - but that looks like one FAT gap between the trunk lid and bumper cover.
