Default Accessing diagnostic screen

I have 2 questions:

1) Does anyone know how to access the diagnostic screen on the nav? I want to turn up the bluetooth outbound volume. On my GS460 you press the info button and turn the headlights on and off 3 times to access the screen. This doesn't work on my Dad's 2009 ES350.

2) Does anyone know how to toggle the seatbelt alarm setting?

Okay so to access diagnostic screen with an 09 ES running 9.1 software, you press display and then inside the white lines press top left, bottom left, 3 times sequentially (6 presses total).

What about the seat belt alert disabling?

There are 2 seat belt nags...

The first one tones if the driver starts the car with the seat belt not fastened.

The second one tones if the car is driven when either the driver or front seat passenger has not fastened it. It graduates and becomes totally obnoxious, then stops for some amount of time, then repeats.

I believe the dealer has to disable them both.

This works on my 2010 ES 350. Once in, not much to do there. I didn't find anything interesting like I did on my Goldwing motorcycle. Certainly not able to do anything about the seat best reminder annoyance. I will ask my dealer to do something about it at the 1k mile check.

It should:

If you, or your service tech, ever disconnect your battery, you'll need to do it again.
I did not try this on my wife's ES (she'd kill me) but it's supposed to work on all Toyota vehicles.

The first tone is a federal requirement. All US cars sound a reminder tone for several seconds if started without the driver's seat belt fastened. Only the extended reminders can be disabled.

This seatbelt trick does not work on my 2009 ES350. It must be a feature of international Lexus cars which is why it works on the IS and GS. But it does not work the ES which is a US market only car.

I have no idea why it works on the 2010 ES350, but I would guess that car has more common electronics/firmware with the rest of the Lexus range.

The seatbelt trick worked on my 2009 GS460, a friends 2008 IS300 and a 2010 Land Cruiser!

Thanks for the reminder. My seatbelt buzzer got switched back on when they reset the car during the recall.
