2) has anyone gotten the interest of a girl because of the car they happened to be driving at that time (i.e. doesn't like you solely b/c of the car but the car sparked her interest)

First of all let's not confuse getting a girl because of your car to finding your soul mate.
Has anyone REALLY gotten some because of their 2007 ES 350? Usually, the more expensive/cooler the car, the better looking the girl. Am I right on that? Also, If the goal is to get "chicks" I don't think the ES350 is the best way to spend $40K. You can probably find sportier and flashier cars with the same money.
Nevertheless, the '07 Lexus ES350 is no slouch and it does look pretty slick. However, you might have better luck with a black, tinted IS350.

BMWs may not be as reliable as Lexus, but they are not horrible.
I do believe the early 7ers from 02+ did have many problems, but they were fixed.
For most BMW drivers would rather sacrifice a bit of reliablity for driving experince.

I've decided to conduct a little experiment related to this topic. I'm going to post a picture of the new ES350 on MySpace in my pictures and see if I get any more attention and comments because of it. The results may be skewed though because MySpace is crowded with golddiggers and insecure girls that feel better about themselves through people commenting on their naked pictures. But we'll see how this goes. . .
