Default Suggetions for ipod placement or holder?

Does anyone have a good place to set their ipod? Is there an ipod holder that may work well in the ES 350? Right now I place mine in the cupholder and really don't like it there.
Thanks,

Other than going with one of those things that you can put into the slots of the center vent (horozontal) fins that holds cell phones and would probably work just as well with an ipod, I don't think there's much of an alernative. If you did that you'd have the wire that connects the ipod into the aux input hanging down and going back into the center console. Very unsightly.

Hey Bash4, my suggestion is to look into the VaisTech unit. This is a device that hooks into your head unit so you can control that iPod from the Nav system (and the steering wheel). I love mine and no iPod to fiddle with. The iPod sits in the glove box. Currently 1900 songs on my 30g at my disposal. Please note that I almost got in an accident trying to find an album on the iPod while driving before the Vais Tech.

I agree with this suggestion. I also got the VaisTech unit and absolutely love it. My Ipod sits in the center console and I never have to touch it. I highly recommend it.

Not sure if this helps, but if you look inside of center storage console, there is a slide-out tray in there. I assume you will have iPod connected in there anyway, so why not put it right into that sliding tray?

I found the website for the Vais Tech unit. It sounds pretty cool. Did you buy it from the website or somewhere else? Who did you have hook it up?

There was a group buy announced here on Club Lexus about 3 weeks ago. I got it from them for about $200.00. There was a guy near San Francisco who hooked it up for me. As long as they know Lexus it should be no problem for an experienced installer. He charged me $150.00 to install it.

I'm planning on keeping my iPod in the center console (aka armrest) at all times. I seem to recall hearing something about not being able to close the console with certain iPod chargers? Any suggestions? I've had an iPod for a while but never a car charger for it and am going to pick one up this weekend.

Thanks

I got a great one with a retractable cord. Cost me $12 and comes in white with a little green LED on ther top to let you know it's receiving power. Just google "ipod car chargers" and I'm sure you'll locate it.

I love it because of the rertractable power cord. Less clutter in the center console when not needed.
