94 es300 transmission replacement
Does anyone know the best or easiest way to remove the automatic transmission for a 94 es300. From what I have read it says that you have to basically disconnect the subframe from the car and pull the engine up and drop the tranny from the bottom. Does anyone have any suggestions.

The easiest way for me is to pull the engine and transmission out the top then separate the two. But it all depends on the space you have to work and the tools you have available. If you pull the transmission from the bottom you'll need an engine support as well as a transmission jack, and a way to lift the care safely high off the ground.

The way I did it on my 99 was.
Remove battery, air filter / housing, 2 front tires, cv axels, sub frame.
Then used 2 chains. One chain raised the engine. The other lowered the transmission safely to the ground. I had a few people to pick up the transmission after it was on the ground. The chains were around a support beam in a garage, supported the engine for about a week. No transmission jack needed.

I would drop it out the bottom. mostly because I'd want to avoid touching the water system, the engine loom, or the AC system. I'd put the car in the air (all four), drop CV's, and subframe, leave the engine resting on chains from a engine hoist (or two axle stands and wood), and use a second hoist to drop the transmission on the ground.
basically, I couldn't do it without an engine hoist, because I don't like transmission jacks.

Thanks for all the info starting the tear down today. Have a plenty of tools jacks jack stands all that good stuff and a heated three stall garage so I should be good. May have some question so I'll most likely be posting back
