Default Need help installing GRom unit

The instuctions that came with it are garbage. I've hooked up the harness the only way I see to hook it up and USB does not work and the CD Changer still works but with reduced volume. Is there a pic out there somewhere that shows the back back of the Nav unit with the connectors labeled?

Any guidance greatly appreciated.

What do you mean the USB doesn't work?

Depending upon the GROM unit you bought it will have two ports on it, make sure you plugged the USB cable into the right one.

Your CD player is built into the head unit, correct? Not sure why you are experiencing reduced CD volume.

1. There is only one USB connector in the Grom unit.

2. There is only one plug that fits the Grom unit so I'm sure this is correct.

3. The other end of the harness has 2 plugs.

4. The ML nav unit comes with an external CD changer that's physically located in the center console.

5. I believe that I need to disconnect the CD changer. Problem is, I don't know which plug on the back of the unit is the CD changer plug and I don't want to trigger a security lock up by unplugging the wrong plug.

Grom tech support couldn't help me get it working either so I guess the unit is defective. Got a RMA and gonna send it back. I really want a usb port but It looks like it wasn't meant to be.
