Default '05 ES330 - To Debadge or not to Debadge... That is the Question?

Yeah, what the title says. I have a pristine, well kept (previously garaged) ES330 that I bought a couple of weeks ago that I'm considering debadging the trunk. I may replace the badging with some black emblems I found online, or leave them off. I'd like some advice on this as I have debadged vehicles before, but they were new vehicles when I did so.

It's a personal preference. You'll get personal opinion, both for and against.

It's your car, so do whatever you like.

I've been mulling around having another set of badges front and rear painted the same Onyx Black as the car. As for the "it will look like a Camry," comment....

:-p

Honestly I have the same car and was thinking to debadge it when I bought it too.

But then I thought again and I didn't want anyone to mistake it for a Camry or just another sedan. I want them to know its a Lexus.

I debadged the hood for a while (almost two years) but put it back. Easy to do with dental floss or fishing line and citrus solvent.

I photoshopped the rear to see what it would look like without the left and right badges, but I think it looks better with them. The Lexus logo on the trunk lid really needs to stay there because it sits on a oval raised portion, so it won't look right without an emblem.

I've been considering getting replacement chrome badges, and painting them a matte black color, then putting that on the black car.

Wanted to add, you could try Plastidip to black out the badges. It's removable if you don't like it.

The badge adds 15 horse power.

But really, I love the badge. It adds perceived value to the car.

The badges actually look good on this car. I kept mine.
