Default Couple of questions on 2006 ES330

Hello All-My cousin just purchased his lexus E330 and we cannot locate the CD changer...I'm sure it would be in the trunk or glove box...Where was this originally installed? (I guess it's gone now) Also the headlight covers were buffed and they do look clearer but it looks like the inside of the plastic has the most issues..Any suggestions? Thanks!

CD Changer is in the stereo panel. Press the eject button.

If the oxidation is on the inside, there's not much you can do except replace the headlights or bake them to try to separate the clear plastic from the housing, so that you can access the inside.

Thanks!...So where you insert a single CD on the dash unit you can insert up to 6 CDs and the actual changer is inside the dash...An owners manual had to be ordered so a lot of questions will be answered when that comes...Also what's with the cupholders that pops out of the center console? They can't hold cups, but they look fine,no broken parts I can discern...Does not look like a good system or is it me?

In my 2005 with ML, the CD changer is in the center console.

The CD changer depends on how it was originally equipped. The "DC" option was the In-Dash 6 CD Auto Changer. If the car was originally equipped with the "ND" Navigation System package or the "NL" Navigation System/Mark Levinson package the 6 CD Auto Changer should be in the the center console. The in-dash 6 CD changer will have a "Load" button to the right of the CD slot as well as "6 Disc CD Changer" writing on the CD slot. It's possible the original buyer didn't go for the 6 CD option, but not probable.

FYI you can access the 2006 ES 330 owners manual on the Lexus website:

https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/lex...=2006&x=37&y=9

Take care,

George

Thanks George-His cupholder has way shorter arms that won't close in enough on a cup...I recall both arms being equal so I don't believe they are broken..Just strange...I'll relay changer info..No factory Nav unit in his car...

Do any Toyota models interchange a variety of parts with a 2006 ES330?

Many 2002-2006 Camry parts are interchangeable. If you find the Lexus part number you need, you can usually get a better price for the Toyota/Lexus part on eBay than the dealership.
