ABS and TRAC light on after strut replacement
Just changed all 4 struts on my '00 ES 300. Everything feels great, despite the ABS light popping on and the TRAC OFF light blinking after about 2 minutes of my first test drive with the new struts. Neither lights will go off now. The whole install went fine except for the left rear knuckle and brake dropping pretty hard and putting all of the weight on the speed sensor cable...

Thanks Lexus2000. Can't believe that part is over $200! I may have to just live with the blinking. The lame thing is, the sensor is actually fine. Pretty sure just the wire is damaged.

Well, this is frustrating. I replaced the left rear ABS sensor with a brand new OEM part and the ABS light is still on all the time and the TRAC OFF light is STILL blinking. I'm super annoyed because getting to that rear sensor was a PITA. I had to remove the rear seat (yet again). Any suggestions? What do I have to do... Replace all four sensors until I find the right one? This was never a problem until I replaced all the struts. And as I mentioned in the original post, only the left rear knuckle and strut came crashing down when we were replacing the struts. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Woo hoo! Problem seems to be solved! Drove the car about 500 feet and the problem seems to be solved. ABS Pulsation is back in the peddle and the lights stopped blinking!

Thanks
I'd just like to say thanks to everyone for their insight and advice. I'm restoring a 1997 Lexus ES300 on a tight budget. I don't know what I would do without you guys (and girls). This is an excellent forum. Thanks Club Lexus - Ray -
