Front end rattle
Hello,
I have an 97 es300.(67k miles) When I drive from 25 - 45 and go over bumps i hear this rattle in the front end. It is on either side. It almost sounds like something is loose.
when driving the steering feels very tight, and when there is the rattle i do not feel it, just hear it.
Has anyone had something like this?
Thanks

I am experiencing the same thing with my '97. I'm also experiencing a "floaty" feeling in the front end. I'm thinking the struts are done, but I have a feeling they may be some other problems as well.
I'm curious to see what people think it may be.

It could be the front strut mounts that are failing. Camry and Solara owners (same chassis) have complained about that problem and there is TSB about it. Some were lucky to get them replaced for free outside of warranty, but others weren't, from their dealer.
