Default Anyone else a fan of the 2002-2006 design?

I have seen posts in the past where people sort of express dislike for the look of a 2002-2006 ES. I actually like them more than any other design of the ES. Am I alone?

Lately I have begun considering buying an ES 350, used, and have been thinking of whether I like the look of them enough to buy one. For some reason I really like the interior of the 02-06 models over the 07-12 models. Seems like many feel the other way around. Just interested in hearing people's observations about the various body styles and why.

I have had three of this Gen. My current ES is an 06. I love the look, feel, and performance of the3 30 and it is a great bargain to boot.

I originally liked the 3rd gen exterior more ( I still do in some colors), but after owning a 4th generation it's definitely growing on me.

The interior without a doubt is better in the 4th gen than the 3rd gen, and 5th gen.

I like the interior of the 4th Gen ES. Very luxurious, with good quality materials. The front looks like an exaggerated Camry.

The 5th Gen is when Lexus started cheapening its products IMO. More cheaper looking plastics on the interior, and an arguably less reliable and serviceable 2GR-FE motor. While the exterior looks great, make sure you sit inside and test drive it. The high belt line makes it hard to see out and above the hood, even with the seat all the way up touching the sunroof.

In my opinion, go with the car with the best interior, since that's where you'll be most of the time.
