new ES330 owner
Hey all.
Welp, I've finally been successfully domesticated, but it's not all horrible.
I decided to trade in my 06 Pontiac GTO, which was cammed with 3.91 gears making over 400rwhp, and got me an 04 ES 330 that only had 45000 miles on it.
After the birth of our baby daughter a few months ago, my friends would jokingly ask me how long it will be until I get rid of the goat, and I'd tell them no way in hell I'd ever give it up. Welp, color me wrong.
Our previous situation was that I was driving my wife's old beater 01 Saturn SL1 (she got an 06 RX 330 last year) as my daily driver while the GTO sat in the garage as a weekend cruiser, however the Saturn is just too cramped and uncomfortable for me, as well as getting really high in miles. Add in the fact that I'm now transporting a baby in the back seat, and I just didn't feel it was a safe, reliable long term commuter.
Last weekend while getting the RX's oil changed, I found a dark blue 04 ES 330 on the lot with only 45K miles for $15K, and was able to talk them down to $14K. I was able to trade my GTO for $13K, which left me with a bill for $1650 (after the BS dealer fees and sales tax), and I had me a good as new ES for practically free.
I owned that GTO for over 6 years, having gotten it before we were married, and it was my most prized toy. But I have more important things in life now than my car, and this is a pretty dang good alternative. I've been desiring a more refined, luxury style car for a while now anyway, and this fits perfectly.
Love the car so far. It's ridiculously quiet in the cabin when driving, and I believe a suitable replacement that I'll enjoy driving for a very long time. Best of all, NO DEBT!

I have two 04 ES's. One like yours, dark blue and just bought a gold one with only 35500 miles on it. Blue one has 106000 miles and still rides great and quiet. Great cars. Take care.

That's what I'm hoping for. Heck, maybe by that time I'll be in the market for a luxury/sports car, best of both worlds!

Very clean car, wish my blue ES was that clean, have a lot of stone chips and a few small dents, but still cleans up nice. Crappy Mich. roads. Good pics. This site is a great help if you have any questions or problems. Take care and fun with the car.

Hey I own an 04 GTO! Love it man, I bet you miss yours already, But hey, good alternative. I am getting ready to pick up an 02 with 48k on the clock, hows yours treating ya? I am wondering if there is a huge difference in power from the 330 vs 300, I am guessing not much.

Congrats on your purchase! I recently joined the ES ranks as well, trading an '01 RX300 for an '06 ES330. I love it so far (only been a month), substantially quieter, quicker, handles better, higher MPG, and a beautiful interior.
Hope we both get many years of enjoyment!
