Center Console Lights
Okay, I have googled and checked tons of fuses and relays to no avail. So as I started my 2002 ES 300 for my first night drive since buying it, I discovered that when the headlights to on, all the lights for climate control and the stereo go off
The dimmer works fine for the instrument cluster by these steering wheel, but none of the lights in the center console area work. Even the stereo and A/C LCDs which have bright backlighting durning the day go OFF. It's almost like some relay is working backwards or something.
Insights? Thanks!

I'm just taking a guess, but something similar happened to me when I installed a GROM audio unit. If you remove the center console there is a single black cord on the driver side that might be loose. I just had to unplug it and replug it back in and the lights went back to normal. Not 100% sure this is your problem, just stating something similar that happened to me and what fixed it.
For reference of the black plug i'm talking about look at post #5, first picture.

Yeah, my other car has an aftermarket head unit with bluetooth and I love it. I just don't think an aftermarket unit would look good in my ES. Maybe only if it was a touchscreen double din.

I found the big fuse & relay box on the driver's side under the hood and the one behind the coin department to the left of the steering column. Is there another fuse box I might have missed?
Thanks!

Thats what I like about the GROM is that its hidden behind the center console. I like the stock look too much to get an aftermarket head unit. Doesn't help that I'm a student either...
