resetting the computer has made a difference, I have not filled it up yet, I will do that tomorrow. but here is what I know, right now I still have 3/4 of a tank, I have been 130 miles, now before I reset the computer going the same distance I was sititng at about a half a tank, so one of the 3 three things I have done, has done something differently for gas milage.

You said that at 130 miles it was now at 1/4 down when before it was 1/2, so you were saying it took half the fuel to go the same distance. How is that not doubling your mileage?

7 Gallons is closer to 1/2 tank than a quarter. You said that the previous tank where you got 15.9 mpg included time idling at a football game, so you can't compare the mileage for those two samples unless this last one included the same amount of time spent idling.

For what it's worth, I have been calculating the mileage manually. I've found that "distance to empty" errs on the side of being conservative. It will usually claim about 380 miles, but I can get up to 440 at times (although around 400 is more the norm). I've found the average MPG that the car calculates is close (usually within 1 MPG) to reality.
