Stabilizer Bar Link
While changing the front pads today I noticed the bushing on the Stabilizer Bar Link was ripped. Can I get just the bushing or do I need a whole new Stabilizer Bar Link ?
Thanks

Unless any of those nuts are rusted in and stuck, than basically that all there is to it. If stuck, than its a different story but with te right tools, it's still not hard.

Yeah you need a new link, but I would suggest you replace both sides, so that they match. The Lexus ones are over priced and not worth it. I purchased mine from RockAuto, they were called Moog Problem Solvers. They are a bit more expensive than usual, but they are much beefier in size. I also sprayed them with some Black Chassis paint to protect from rust. I did them the other week and it wasn't difficult, just time consuming if you don't have Gear Wrenches.

I have been pricing around and they are as cheap as $13 to $85. Is there a difference between them ? My local PepBoys has them for $24.99 each (made by ProSteer) with lifetime warranty.

I have Deeza links on all 4 corners on my Avalon(very similar to the ES) and they're beefy and quality is top notch, painted black. Cheap on RockAuto or Amazon.

I wouldn't buy OEM, it's ridiculously over priced, but I will say I had a bad experience with O'reilly's house brand MasterPro. When I put them in, a few months later I heard a loud popping noise on one side. I didn't think it could be the sway links since I just replaced them, but when I got under the car and moved it around, it was the link.
MasterPro has a lifetime warranty, so I got a new one for the side that was popping and the noise stopped. A few short months later though, the same thing happened. I bought some Moog from RockAuto and it hasn't been a problem since. The only thing I'm not crazy about is they're not sealed, you're supposed to grease them from time to time with the zerk fitting, but they'll also probably last a lot longer.
On the flip side though, when I replaced the front links, I used a cheap brand Napa carries , and they've never had an issue.
Sometimes you get what you pay for, sometimes you don't. For most chassis parts though, I'd pay a little extra and buy Moog.
