Default Finally a Strut Brace that fits right!!

Hello All,

As some of you know a have been on a quest to find performance parts for the ES300. For some reason no one ( parts dealers)wants to admit that they have these parts or give the run around as to does it work on the ES like it works on the Camry V6.

My fellow ES 300 owners who say F--- the stock set up I want more outta my ES your search is ova. Help me to help you and others like us.........ON that note lets get down to bizniss!!!

I promise to tell you where to get the stuff and most of it I have on my car...so its been tested... *KEEP IN MIND I OWN A 1997
*So the parts will work on a 97-98 in some cases 97-2000*

I have found a Strut brace that actually fits correctly on the ES 300 with no problems!!....I know some of you have or have seen the Strut tower brace for RActive (Toucan industries) that is on the ES 300.... here's the secret....

YES - it does fit ...BUT you have to order it for a Camry V6
there is no listing for th ES300 - Why?...who knows..but it fits
BUT!!!!!..........IT WILL HIT YOUR THROTTLE BODY WHEN YOU SHIFT INTO REVERSE DUE TO A LACK OF CLEARANCE!...*reported from other ES owners who have this brace...yet they say it has caused no damage, just that you hear it tap the brace when you shift into reverse.

NOW - The brace I have found from HP Racing is a flat brace not round like the RActive one and fits PERFECT!!...ONCE AGAIN YOU MUST ORDER IT FOR THE 97-98 CAMRY V6 (They dont sell one for the 99-2001 or at least it wasn't listed but may fit) The brace DOES NOT HIT ANYTHING WHEN YOU SHIFT INTO REVERSE AND CLEARS THE ENGINE FINE AND DOES NOT BLOCK THE HOOD FROM CLOSING AT ALL
- They also have it for the 92-96!!!-
I have posted pics of mine.... Hope this helps all of you

it can be purchased from www.slickcar.com for around $45
look for the brace from HP Racing

please post any questions or comments.....or anything you may have first hand knowledge of that will help us ES owners tune better-

Default chip

I highly doubt i would use the chip, I have read about how it does not help but makes the car worse. Before putting in a nos type system i would get an exhaust, have there been any made for the es or camry?

Default Exhaust

For the ES300 no one lists anything...seems like most performance parts must be purchased on the Camry V6 platform.
I am looking into specific info for anyone interested....Will post actual results when I find some....

It would be nice to keep this Thread free of speculation like most other threads with the....... "I heard this and I heard that" ....specific info or first person experience helps the most.....I've heard stuff about the Chips also....but no one who actually owned one so until I know from a ES 300 owner who actually had a chip put in I'm not even mentioning chips or Nos or anything that I dont really know about first hand.........

P.S. No offense intended......

Just would like some specific help posts.....

Nice!

I have a 1998 es300, so I should be all set if I follow your path. Where the three bolts where you mount the brace, originally there is this C shaped piece of metel (shim?). Did you remove that or does it stay in place? I would imagine you have to remove as it will not mount flush.
