Best HID Kits

With the amount of HID kits out on the market nowadays, you do have to be a little more careful. The best thing to do would be to educate yourself and ask questions rather than buying a kit strictly based on the cheapest price you can find.
What is the failure rate on the ballasts? What kind of warranty is offered? Does the company have good customer support and list a phone number on their site? Do the ballasts run on AC or DC current? Are they true low draw? etc... These are just some of the questions you have to ask when selecting an HID kit.
Also, be careful with the "Philips HID kits". Philips actually does not even make an aftermarket HID kit so those "Philips HID conversion kits" are not made by Philips and do not use true German parts.

DDM Tuning are awesome. i was sketchy at first about buying them because it was only $40 for a 35W 6000k hid kit but I have been more than impressed with them. extremely bright and the perfect color

How much work is it really? And by that i mean costs...
I'd like a retro and have been eyeing the MH1 for a while now [v 4.1 is the best?] but can't seem to bring myself to buy this stuff.
I don't trust myself with baking these lights open and then dealing with condensation.

As for the condensation, I sealed it with butyl tape, silicone, and RTV sealant. Also threw a few packs of silicant inside for back up. Been through many rainstorms so far and they're holding up great still

+1 on the projector retrofit.
however, i'm not a big fan of the morimotos. too small.
here's the retrofit I did on my previous car, 94 camry with Mercedes Benz E55 Projectors

Glad you're enjoying the XenonDepot Volt HID kit PureDrifter! It's always nice when people post feedback years after they have had a product installed =)
