I have the same problem. The dealer however just worked on my car under the dash, so I believe they left something loose. They say that the strut bearings under the hood and close to the steering wheel have just gone out. Maybe thats your delima?

A friend tightened the top nut of the drivers side strut located at the drivers side windshield corner under the hood. It totally stopped the rattle.
