Console Lights dont light up when headlights are on?
2006 es330 Dimmer switch is all the way up. Console Lights on CD Player and Temp gauges are off when lights come on any ideas? They work great when the lights are off. Even the light around the gear shift is off. I spent 4 hours at Toyota Dealer they can't figure it out. May have to drive 130 miles to Lexus dealer. Please help if you can thanks.Puzzled!

I added to the post, yes dimmer switch is up all the way and its a 2006. Just don't understand seems like it should be a fuse or something simple. Car only has 40,000 miles on it. Looks fantastic, just like new, not abused. Help if you can think of something.

If it has only 40k miles it would be under warranty, given the in service date isnt on or before todays date 2005. it has a 5yr/50k bumper to bumper warranty. Id take it to Lexus.

The 2006 ES330 only has a 4 year warranty not 5. I did take it to the dealer (400 miles round trip) today. After 6 hours they let me know it has a problem with what he described as a shared cluster gauge switch assembly. The cost for the part would be $972.00 plus labor to install. After I decided against it and was ready to leave they offered to install a jump over wire to by-pass this switch which they did do at a cost of $250.00 (this also included all labor for tracking the problem). I agreed and it works perfect now.

The dealer fixed my lights problem, and on the way home it starts to rattle behind the gauges cluster (where they worked on it). So I just took the 4 hour round trip again to the dealer. They say its nothing they did, probably the strut bushing assmbley on the drives front side. (But it sure sounds like its coming from directly behind the gauges.) They want $300.00 to replace the bushings and then think I need the other side done for another $300.00. I believe I will get a second opinion.
