Hesitation when cold
My car is a 1997 Lexus ES 300, with 176K miles. About 5 months ago, I started to notice hesitation when accelerating in cold weather. Recently this occurred again and the "Check Engine" light came on.
The two codes were po120 - throttle position sensor and a misfire in cylinder 6. They seemed to think they were two seperate issues. They suggested that the issue could be as simple as a tune-up, or fuel injectors. Any ideas where to start? I am tempted to start with a tune-up, but as the car needs some other work not sure how much I want to spend on it.
Thank You

Where in NY are you located?
The misfire is likely a bad plug, wire, or a clogged fuel filter. Have ANY of them ever been changed? If those are all original, I;d replace all that. 95% chance that solves the misfire.
The TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) is indeed a seperate issue.
What other work does the car need?

I am located in Syracuse NY.
The plugs have been changed, but that is it. I purchased the car with 100k miles so not sure what was done before that.
The car does need front struts, but other than that is in wonderful shape.
