1998 ES300 brakes & power problems...
Folks,
I'm having a couple of problems right now and thought I'd run it by you experts to get some guidance.
First, the breaking isn't smooth and there is a pulsing sensation when I apply the breaks. In the past, I'd take the rotors over and get them ground down and the problem would go away. This time, I've replaced the rotors "twice" and still have the same problem. The lines have been bleed so I'm wondering if a bad master cylinder could cause this problem? or what?
The other problem is likely a simple one but I thought I'd ask. The care chugs (hessitates and jerks) some during acceleration... especially in higher gears while going up a hill. It almost feels like a transmission slip but it could very well be something much simpler like timing, etc.
Any input is much appreciated. Steve

You did not mention if you have cleaned the ' hub faces ' when you installed the rotors , or if the rotor faces were cleaned before resurfacing
either one could easily cause the 'pulse' issue
the 98 es has common issue [ age ] for the intake hose between air filter and throttle body to have a crack in it , causing air to enter after the meter . Combine this with possible weak/broken motor mounts, the engine will move more to open crack wider
