Default Brakes?

I am going to get new brake pads, but I am unsure of what kinds are good. What would anyone suggest for good performance brake pads?

Unless you are running at a high rate of speed all the time, you really do not need performance brakes. I have my stock ones and they work great still. don't waste your money on something you do not need.

Performance brake pads produce a lot more dust than OE do. If you are taking your ES to the track which I doubt but you can , try TRD WayDo pads.

you guys shouldnt be so quick to dismiss the need for upgraded brake pads, these things cool faster, grab harder, and fade less. Yes some of them create a great deal more brake dust and noise but some dont.

The TRD's are great carbon metallic pads but kick up a storm of dust. Other options include the Endless Na pads...very expensive. EBC green or yellow (much cheaper), or Akebono pads (unobtanable)....

THe ebc's are not much more expensive than OEM's and provide a balance for stopping power, cooling, and dust for street use.

If you feel differently state your reasons why.

I agree, brakes are too often overlooked. I have powerstop cross drilled rotors for the ES 300 but I have not installed em yet.

Has anyone on this board actually tracked their ES? I was wondering because I'm thinking of doing it myself, just for the hell of it
