Default Brake Fluid...

which brake fluid should i buy? ..i no it has to be dot3
would a dot3 from a local auto parts do the job?
Valvoline, Wearever?

My BRAKE light on the dash is lit - i checked the brake fluid and its a little little bit under -MIN- ... so i needa add some fluid.. but which one do i buy?

Dot 3 brake fluid from a local parts store will work fine. Check your owners manual to make sure it doesn't specify that it has to be a Dot 3 fluid with a,b,c, etc. I really haven't read the manual so I don't know. I have used DOT 3 fluids from a local store in my LS and not have a problem.

the top of the brake fluid says "only use toyota dot3"

so i added brake fluid.. and to my surprise the BRAKE light is still on... grrr! what now?

Are you sure you added enough. The reservior has a sensor which should trigger the light to go off when the reservior is full. You also may have a broken sensor somewhere.

wouldnt the broken sensor send a code to the check engine? i filled the reservior till the -FULL- line...
